Nardus Williams is a versatile British soprano singer born in Worcester, England. Trained at the Royal College of Music’s International Opera School where she was the sole recipient of the prestigious Kiri Te Kanawa Scholarship, Williams was the winner of the Rising Star award at the 2022 International Opera Awards and received widespread critical acclaim for her performance as the Countess in Opera Holland Park’s production of The Marriage of Figaro (2021).
Other career highlights so far include the roles of Mimi in La Boheme (Houston Grand Opera), Micaëla in Carmen (English National Opera) and Donna Anna in Opéra de Rouen Normandie’s production of Don Giovanni.
As well as being a much in-demand operatic soprano, Williams is also a prolific concert artist and recitalist. She has recently sung with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic amongst others, and is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting British singers of her generation.
